The Second Ashra of Ramadan: A Period of Forgiveness (مغفرة) 🌙✨

Ramadan is divided into three Ashras (10-day segments), each carrying a special significance. The Second Ashra (11th to 20th Ramadan) is known as the Ashra of Forgiveness (مغفرة), a time when Allah grants pardon and absolves sins for those who sincerely repent.

📜 Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“The first part of Ramadan is mercy, the middle part is forgiveness, and the last part is freedom from the Hellfire.” (Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah)


🌟 Importance of the Second Ashra (Maghfirah – Forgiveness)

The second ten days of Ramadan emphasize seeking Allah’s forgiveness and repenting for past sins.

🔹 Allah forgives those who sincerely repent and turn to Him.
🔹 It is a chance to wipe away past mistakes and start anew.
🔹 Dua, Istighfar (seeking forgiveness), and sincere prayers are highly encouraged.

📖 Dua for the Second Ashra:
اَسْتَغْفِرُاللّٰهَ رَبِّيْ مِنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ وَّ اَتُوْبُ اِلَيْهِ
“I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord, for all my sins, and I turn to Him in repentance.”


💡 Acts to Perform in the Second Ashra

Increase in Istighfar (Say “Astaghfirullah” frequently).
Pray Nawafil (extra prayers) and Tahajjud for forgiveness.
Avoid sins and bad habits, making a sincere intention to improve.
Make heartfelt dua for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness.
Give charity (Sadaqah) and help others, as good deeds multiply rewards.
