Ramadan is divided into three Ashras (10-day segments), each carrying a special significance. The Third Ashra (21st to 29th/30th Ramadan) is known as the Ashra of Nijaat (نجات), meaning freedom from Hellfire. This is the most blessed phase of Ramadan, as it includes Laylat al-Qadr (The Night of Decree)—a night better than a thousand months.
📜 Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“The first part of Ramadan is mercy, the middle part is forgiveness, and the last part is freedom from the Hellfire.” (Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah)

The Third Ashra of Ramadan holds great significance. This period includes Laylat al-Qadr, a night better than a thousand months. It is the best time to seek Allah’s mercy and forgiveness.

اللهم أجرنا من النار
“O Allah, save us from the Hellfire.”
💡 Acts to Perform in the Third Ashra
✅ Seek Laylat al-Qadr (worship in the last 10 nights, especially on odd nights).
✅ Increase in Salah, Quran recitation, and Dhikr.
✅ Observe I’tikaf (if possible) to dedicate time to worship.
✅ Make heartfelt dua, seeking Allah’s mercy and protection from Hell.
✅ Give Zakat al-Fitr before Eid to help the needy.
